Easy To Cook Chicken Spicy Biryani Recipe


A lot of people are put of by the thought of making biryani because it is usually so involved and time consuming. This recipe will change their mind when they find out how easy it is to cook some delicious spicy biryani.      
                                                                                      
I got this recipe from my good friend who made this for us and it was so delicious. and it is the kind of biryani our moms would make on weekends and we would eat it at watching our favorite movies. Hope you like this recipe.

I know many people who think that biryani is really very difficult to cook but that’s totally wrong. If you know the exact ingredients and recipe then its very easy to cook.  I like to cook it because with biryani you don’t need to have any other gravy just a yogurt dip and salad will do a tasty magic. You can adjust the spices according to your taste. I love my biryani with chicken but you can also make it with beef or mutton.

Ingredients:-

1kg chicken pieces
1/2 cup oil
3 onions, sliced
1/2 cup yogurt
6 tomatoes, chopped
2 tbsp. garlic ginger paste
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
3-4 black cardamom
6 cloves
2 pcs cinnamon sticks
salt to taste
8-9 dry plum
1/2 bunch coriander and mint leaves, chopped
3-4 green chilies, chopped
2 pinch, yellow color
1 tsp. coriander powder
1 tsp. cumin seeds
2 tsp. red chili powder
1 tsp. hot spices powder
750 gm. rice , washed and soaked
3 potatoes, cut in large pieces

Method:-

*Take a pan and heat oil in it. Fry onions till they are golden in color. Now add garlic and ginger paste and sauté it for few seconds.

*Now add chicken and potatoes and cook till chicken changes it color. Add tomatoes, green chilies,  all spices and dry plums in it. Add yogurt and cover it and cook it on low flame till chicken is done and all water dries up.

*Now in other pot boil water with salt and cumin seeds. When water start boiling add washed rice and cook. Drain water when rice are nearly cooked.

*Now in other pan first pour some oil from your chicken gravy then make layers of rice and then chicken and finally make the layer of rice on top. Put chopped mint and coriander leaves and sprinkle yellow food color on top. Now cover it tightly and put on low flame for 15 minutes.

*Enjoy your biryani with yogurt dip and salad. Serve hot.
