3 Easy Ways to Make Your Lashes Look Like Falsies

3 Easy Ways to Make Your Lashes Look Like Falsies

There’s a reason why stars wear false lashes for on-camera appearances and red-carpet moments: they make you look seriously glam. But they’re also a pain to apply and feel like giant spiders stuck to your face. Luckily, you can use mascara to mimic the drama of falsies with these three simple steps:

1. Invest in a good lash curler
(we’re fans of Kevyn Aucoin’s), but curl after applying mascara. The product lends grip and hold, helping to set the curl in place and maximizing the eye-opening effects.

2. Starting a new tube of mascara?
Leave it open for one minute before swiping. This dries out the mascara slightly so that it adheres better to lashes.

3. Use an angled liner brush to paint a bit of mascara onto the tops of your lashes.
Coating them from every angle adds mega drama, especially if you choose a blacker-than-black hue.

3 Amazing Secrets To Gorgeous Skin Ever

Beautiful skin is one of the most attractive indicators of beauty and youth. Good sleep, plenty of water and stress free life are some of the most basic and important ingredients of youthful and beautiful appearance. And yea, healthy eating is also crucial!
Our face and our hands are two particularly important (and visible to everyone) areas on our body that reflect our overall health and wellbeing.
So, today we will talk about 3 simple, yet great, secrets on how to keep the skin of our face, hands and the whole body beautiful and healthy:

1) Morning beauty ritual for your FACE

Some people love using ice cubes on their face every morning to freshen and rejuvenate the skin. This ritual is great, but it can be a little harsh, especially for sensitive and redness prone skin. So, here is an alternative way to do it: simply wipe your face in the morning with cold raw milk. You can also mix the milk with cucumber juice and wipe your face with it using a cotton ball. Rinse your face with cold water once you are done. Not only it will instantly freshen your face, but also, it will help cleanse your skin and improve your skin tone, leaving your face extremely soft, glowing and fresh.

2) Use coffee for the beauty of your HANDS

Yes, simple coffee that you drink every day can be used for skin care. Why coffee? Well, coffee grounds are a natural exfoliator. Exfoliation removes dead, dry skin cells from skin surface and boosts natural skin renewal process, making your skin look healthy and glowing.

Here is a good beauty recipe: mix coffee grounds (from your morning coffee) with olive oil (or any other oil of your choice; avoid using petroleum based oils and give your preference to natural ingredients) and massage your hands with this homemade hand scrub for a couple of minutes, use the same circular motions as those you do while applying your hand cream. Rinse your hands with lukewarm water. Your hands will feel very soft and tender. If you do this twice a week, your hands will look wonderful!

3) Wonderful natural BODY scrub recipe

And, finally, here is a recipe of simple, wonderful, homemade body scrub: mix 2 tablespoons of used coffee grounds, 1 tablespoon of sugar and 4 tablespoons of olive oil. Massage your body with this scrub while in the shower, applying it in circular motions; especially concentrate on the areas with cellulite, on your legs and on dry areas of your body. You will notice an amazing difference on how this scrub will make your skin look and feel  soft, tender and velvety!

I hope you find these natural beauty secrets useful.

Usefull Steps to Healthy Skin at Every Age

Usefull Steps to Healthy Skin at Every Age

Your skin can reveal the stories of your life, from the fabled glow of pregnancy to the less-welcome spots that surface from sun damage. You hear a lot about how to protect your skin from the sun’s rays, but there are many other simple health moves that can keep your exterior in fabulous shape, decade after decade.

Don't have time for intensive skin care? You can still pamper yourself by acing the basics. Good skin care and healthy lifestyle choices can help delay the natural aging process and prevent various skin problems.

1. Protect yourself from the sun

One of the most important ways to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, age spots and other skin problems as well as increase the risk of skin cancer.

For the most complete sun protection:
Use sunscreen. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. Apply sunscreen generously, and reapply every two hours or more often if you're swimming or perspiring.
Seek shade. Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., when the sun's rays are strongest.
Wear protective clothing.

Cover your skin with tightly woven long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. Also consider laundry additives, which give clothing an additional layer of ultraviolet protection for a certain number of washings, or special sun-protective clothing which is specifically designed to block ultraviolet rays.

2. Don't smoke

Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients that are important to skin health.

Smoking also damages collagen and elastin  the fibers that give your skin strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking  such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke can contribute to wrinkles.

If you smoke, the best way to protect your skin is to quit. Ask your doctor for tips or treatments to help you stop smoking.

3. Treat your skin gently

Daily cleansing and shaving can take a toll on your skin. To keep it gentle:

Limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time, and use warm  rather than hot water.
Avoid strong soaps. Strong soaps and detergents can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers.
Shave carefully. To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving. For the closest shave, use a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it.
Pat dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on your skin.
Moisturize dry skin. If your skin is dry, use a moisturizer that fits your skin type. For daily use, consider a moisturizer that contains SPF.

4. Eat a healthy diet

A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. The association between diet and acne isn't clear but some research suggests that a diet rich in vitamin C and low in unhealthy fats and processed or refined carbohydrates might promote younger looking skin.

5. Manage stress

Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems. To encourage healthy skin and a healthy state of mind take steps to manage your stress. Set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do the things you enjoy. The results might be more dramatic than you expect.

6.Pick the right products

Consider a prescription for a retinoid like tretinoin to minimize signs of aging such as uneven skin tone, wrinkles, and age spots, says Bobby Buka, MD, a New York City dermatologist. Dr. Buka also suggests skin-care products with botanicals such as feverfew or licorice root: “They have antioxidant activity to combat UV damage.

7.Quench the thirst

As your estrogen level drops and oil production decreases, skin can get thinner, drier, and often itchier. Bathing too often, with water that’s too hot, or with harsh or excess soap, can make things worse. Hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid gland), which becomes more common over age 50, can also cause overly dry, itchy skin, so see your doc to rule it out if you have other common symptoms such as fatigue, depression, unexplained weight gain, or muscle aches.

Top Helpfull Exercises To Burn Fat Very Quickly

The human body is a remarkably adaptable machine. Even if years and years of neglect have allowed pound after pound of fat to fill out your frame, you can rid yourself of that lard at a much faster rate than you brought it on board. In that sense, time is your side!

Take these nine easy-to-implement tips to heart, and progress will come in a hurry!fat-torching plan that really will subtract up to 5 pounds from your bod in seven days  without starvation, bizarre supplements, or cutting out entire food groups. How? It's all about small sacrifices combined with specific techniques. And rather than giving you a one-size-fits-all regimen, we figure you're more likely to stick with the plan if you pick the eating and exercise strategies that fit your lifestyle.

So choose at least four of the nutritionist- and fitness expert-backed tips that follow, and vow to work them into your schedule for seven days straight. If you feel ambitious, tack on a few more. The more you pick, the more weight you'll lose. If you start now, by this time next week, you'll look and feel way lighter.

*Drink Mainly Water:
A sports or energy drink, fruit smoothie, or light beer  each serving contains about 100 calories. Yet these beverages don't satisfy you the way 100 calories of food does, so they're a waste. Other liquids may be high in sodium and carbohydrates, which trick your body into retaining water, puffing you out.

Water, on the other hand, has zero calories and carbs and little to no sodium, making it the perfect slim-down drink. And strangely, it actually helps flush out excess water weight as well as jump-starts your metabolism. If it's just too boring, add lemon wedges or mint leaves.

*Ban White Bread and Pasta:
Cutting out all white grain products such as white rice, spaghetti, sandwich rolls  will instantly slim you down because the simple carbs in these foods cause bloating, especially around your belly. "Simple carbohydrates wreak havoc on your weight because they're digested very quickly, leaving you hungry and more likely to overeat later.

To go a step further, instead of replacing them with healthier yet still bloat-triggering whole-grain bread products, substitute vegetables for the week. This way, a chicken sandwich becomes chicken salad, and chips and dip turn into carrots and dip. The complex carbs from vegetables are digested more slowly, so you remain full longer. And because veggies are mostly water, they also help flush out excess water weight.

*STAY OFF THE SCALE:
That you can gain muscle and lose fat is one of the reasons I stress to people not to follow the scale. Body composition and how you look in the mirror matters more than what the scale says.

You could train hard and eat right and build five pounds of muscle and lose five pounds of fat, and what will the scale say? That you still weigh the same.

Frustrating, even though you've made good progress. Use the scale as a guide, but how you look in the mirror, how you feel, and how your clothes fit are much better indicators of your progress.

*REDUCE YOUR CALORIES GRADUALLY:
If you're looking to lose fat, don't make huge calorie cuts. This will kick your body into starvation mode, reducing your metabolism and making it more difficult to burn off the fat.

To prevent this metabolic slowdown and allow your body to burn fat at an optimal rate, make smaller calorie reductions every week or two.

*VARY YOUR CALORIC INTAKE:
This is another way to outsmart your body and continue to lose body fat without lowering your metabolism.

By varying your caloric intake every few days instead of eating the exact same amount of calories every day, keep the starvation mechanism in check and continue to burn fat.

"Although in today's society food tends to be accessible and abundant, our bodies are designed to store as much energy as possible to prepare for times of scarcity. One way the body does this is by adjusting its metabolic rate based on calorie intake.

If you stick with the same calories every single day while dieting, your body will adjust by lowering metabolic rate to prevent you from burning off too much body fat. It's all about hormones.

When leptin levels are high, your metabolic rate stays high; when leptin levels drop, so does your metabolic rate.

When calories are low and steady, leptin levels fall and so does metabolic rate. Eating higher calories on some days and lower calories on others helps to keep leptin levels up."

*TRAIN WITH WEIGHTS:
Resistance training helps with fat loss in a number of ways. Weight training itself burns calories. Studies also show that, unlike aerobic exercise, weight training increases the calories you burn at rest for up to 39 hours after your workout.

Plus, the more muscle your body has, the more calories you burn each day.

Even if your goal is solely to lose body fat, you need to train with weights. This will help prevent any of the weight you lose from being muscle.

Were that to happen, your metabolism would slow, stalling your fat-loss efforts and turning you into a skinny-fat person.

Yes, even someone with anorexia can have a high body fat percentage.

*DO HIGH-INTENSITY INTERVALS:
This means alternating a brief period of high-intensity exercise with brief rest periods.

The result: better results in less time.

One of my favorite interval methods is jumping rope. You may need to practice a bit on this one. After a brief warmup, I'll jump rope as fast as I can for 10-20 seconds, followed by a half a minute at a slower cadence.

Always warm up before intervals, by the way. If you're not in the best shape, start with cardio of low or moderate intensity. You might also want to check with your doctor.

*EAT MORE FAT:
Consuming enough of the good fats will help you lose fat, build muscle, and recover faster from your workouts. Healthy fats also have myriad health benefits, including being good for your heart.

So which fats are "good" fats? The polyunsaturated ones (especially omega-3s), such as those from fish and nuts, and the monounsaturated kind, such as those from peanut butter, olive oil, egg yolks, and fish oil.

*CUT CARBS:
The attention focused on low-carb diets has divided many people into "pro" and "anti" low-carb camps. Whichever side you're on, the bottom line is that reducing your carb intake especially sugar and starches when trying to lose fat will help.

Those carbs you do consume should come from sources such as oatmeal and vegetables.

The timing of your carb intake also affects fat-burning. "I recommend tapering down carbohydrates by 3 p.m.," says Team Bodybuilding.com member Ashley Johns, also known by the BodySpace handle Hottie-I-Am. "Consume most of your carbs in the morning and around your workouts."

*INCREASE YOUR PROTEIN:
Increasing protein intake will increase your metabolism and help to maintain your muscle mass, all of which helps with fat-burning. In fact, your body burns more calories when you eat protein than when you digest either fats or carbs.

This may explain why the fat-burning effects of eating more protein were confirmed in a study published in the American Journal of Physiology. One group was fed a high-protein diet (just over 1 gram per pound of body weight per day) while the second group consumed an amount closer to the lower recommendation of the RDA (recommended dietary allowance). The group eating the higher-protein diet burned the most fat.

*EAT 6 SMALLER MEALS PER DAY, NOT 2-3 FEASTS:
This will ensure that you supply your body with the nutrients necessary to build muscle and burn fat.

Bonus: Your resting metabolic rate increases. It will also prevent your body from kicking into "starvation" mode, which can happen when too much time elapses between meals.

If this happens, your body will start burning muscle for energy and increasing your body-fat stores, as well as slowing down your metabolism. This is the exact opposite of what you want to happen.

*Drink Coffee an Hour Before Working Out:
This is the one exception to the stick-to-water-only rule: Just as a coffee run makes your morning at work more productive, a pre-exercise cup of java with a splash of skim milk (about 11 calories) or black (just 5 calories) will energize your workout, explains Dr. Klauer. "You'll burn more calories without realizing you're pushing yourself harder."

Don't be the kind of person who complains about your situation but never does anything to improve it. Don't become "happy" with the status quo of being miserable. Now use this knowledge to take action!
